Studio Clavettes is a firm of pianist and art bookbinder Diny Meijs. The
place of business is Boxmeer, Noord-Brabant, the Netherlands.
Diny was trained as a pianist / piano teacher at the Maastrichts Conservatorium
(Maastricht Conservatory of Music), where she qualified in 1966. She worked
as a piano teacher at the Music Schools of Weert, Venlo and Boxmeer. In Belgium
(Vilvoorde, Genk and Denderleeuw) Diny Meijs was trained as a craft bookbinder.
She qualified in 2005 as an art bookbinder in Genk, Belgium. After a successful
year of specialisation in Modern Art Bookbinding she also took additional
lessons in Denderleeuw (Michel Richard and Edgard Claes). She cooperates closely
with colleagues in Brabant.
Diny Meijs runs her Studio with her husband and colleague Victor Wijnhoven.
Both are members of the art collective Kunstkolk
Gemeente Boxmeer.
